Thor Movie Cast

Thor MovieThe casting for the movie Thor is under way. And the casting call notice for Thor has leaked online:

Thor's Hammer

"Male MUST BE MID-LATE 20'S and SIX FEET OR TALLER. LEAD.
Physically powerful, very handsome, occasionally egotistical, petulant, and wild. A natural warrior with a quick charming wit who must be genuinely and severely humbled before becoming the compassionate, mature her of our film."
Coming Attractions (here)

I doubt I could handle Thor's hammer, so being cast as Thor in the movie would be just wishful thinking of fanboy for me.

But what about you? Could you epitomize the Thunder God? Or according to you what actor would be the best fit for the Mighty Thor?

Update: actor Chris Hemsworth finally got the role of Thor.

So I am very much enjoying the recent surge of superhero/comic films - modern myths on the big screen, combining many of my hopes and dream and passions.

I am generally thrilled with what they offer even when the critics or even my peers (the fanboys and fangirls of the world) boo and hiss (I'm talking to you, Punisher movie, and you too Nicholas Cage...)

The film that has caught my imaginations of late is the Thor film (partially because my wife, although not a huge comic fan, will drag me to see this one instead of me doing the dragging as normal - the Hulk even cost me dinner at PF Changs)

However, the only script I can find being rumored and whispered about online is, to be blunt, NOT THE WAY TO GO. It isn't comic book, it's not even the right kind of mythic, and it is in no way going to tie in to the Avengers, which I hear is something they (Marvel) wants.

So, in deepest humility I have decided to offer my take on a screenplay for the Thor film. Don't expect anyone to see it or take it seriously, but in my personal slice of fantasy this is the way the movie would play out.

As far as who should play Thor only one name comes to mind the WWE 's triple H he has both the look and build for the part and he can act.

I have been a fan of tho's since the first time the "Tomorrow Man" showed up. I hope they get this right and don't pull a case of Daredevil or the Punisher on us. also I kept reading how people wanted Triple H from the wrestling programs. I am glad they optioned away from that. However, cut his mane and he would have made a great Captain America. My only problem with the Thor movie is that he won't be tall enough and physically intimidating like thor is in the comics. He should be almost eight feet tall and built a lot like Triple H. Outside of that "We will see, what we see. When the movie comes out looking forward to my second most favorite character coming to life. I have waited 42 years. Please, get it right. "NUff Said, Again!!"
